Franz Ferdinand are a Glasgow-based indie rock band formed in 2002. Riding the wave of the post millennium resurgence in post punk, they fused skittering guitar riffs with dance music rhythms to become one of the biggest British bands for a generation, selling a reported 3 million albums worldwide.

Following a significant change in line-up, the band is now composed of drummer Paul Thomson, guitarists Dino Bardot and Alex Kapranos who takes lead vocals, with Bob Hardy playing bass.

To mark this new era in the band, they have released their fifth studio album Always Ascending this year. They promote the new material with a massive gig at Roundhouse in London during September 2018.
