An extremely enjoyable evening at Wollaton Hall learning about bats, seeing a pair of rescued bats at close quarters, and seeing and hearing bats out in the wild over the lake. Highly recommended! Only issue - the precise venue took a bit of finding. Better instructions advisable for the next bat event.

most informative talk given by Dr S Wright with excellent photographic illustrations of different types of bat followed by seeing rescued injured bats and then viewing and hearing bats in flight over the lake at Wollaton Hall

Really recommend this. Great opening talk by someone who is very knowledgeable about bats - didn't know that there were that many species in Wollaton Park alone. Then a lady brought two rescued bats for us to view - fantastic and then a walk to the lake to listen and see bats swooping to pick up insects from the water. Brilliant !

I guess I'd give it 5 - cos those little bats in the laundry basket were cute ..... and the little old lady was a dear ......and the folk tried hard enough to make the talk interesting and they used detectors and torches etc ..... and because the ticket fee will be helping the Bat Group activities, I'd assume. But the bats didn't come and feed out of our hands - or perform tricks - so they hadn't been trained all that well. And the organisers missed the chance to give us an adrenaline boost by having a Dracula look-alike hiding in the woods. I enjoyed it so I'd give it 5. It would be a good idea to have better car parking and where to meet info on the printouts
