The Lovely Eggs are the pure embodiment of punk spirit. The raucous garage rock duo, comprised of married couple Holly Ross (guitar) and David Blackwell (drums), share vocals and write wonderfully weird songs.
They have released six studio albums, including If You Were Fruit (2009), Cob Dominos (2011), Wildlife (2012), This Is Our Nowhere (2015), This Is Eggland (2018) and I Am Moron (2020).

First support band Ill were fantastic. Some brilliant songs. Last tour the Eggs brought the equally superb Mr Ben & The Bens. It's not often that the support acts are so good. Rob Aulton is quirky but very funny. Shame it was virtually the same set as when I saw him in Birmingham, but still very good. The venue is round the back of a pub. There was an excellent atmosphere throughout. The Lovely Eggs are old hands of this and produced yet another fantastic night of top entertainment. Even if Holly forgets her own lyrics!!

Top night out at Maze, Ill were a decent opener and Rob Auty was very entertaining. Then on came Holly & David for a very spirited zoom through this is Eggland and a few older favourites. Just brilliant. Nice wee venue too
