Mercury nominated singer / songwriter Seth Lakeman is a leading light in contemporary British folk.
A prolific musician, Lakeman performs with siblings Sam and Sean as The Lakeman Brothers. Also, together with Kathryn Roberts and Kate Rusby, the quintet play together as the band Equation.
As a solo artist, the Buckland Monachorum born multi-instrumentalist has released eleven studio albums, including best-selling record Poor Man's Heaven which smashed straight into the Top 10 upon release in 2008. Other notable releases include Hearts & Minds (2010), Ballads of the Broken Few (2016) and Word of Mouth (2014).
Seth Lakeman is a natural and seasoned performer yet he still outdid himself, with his exceptional band. Always a delight to see the enigmatic Cormac Byrne as well. Wonderful evening all round at Union Chapel.

Union chapel is a great venue for music, there is no doubt. We had a fabulous meal beforehand and then amazing seats 6 rows from the front. We've seen Seth before so knew what to expect and he didn't disappoint. We'd gladly see him again and other concerts at this venue.

This was the first time I've seen Seth live and i was not disappointed. The show was ably supported by Winter mountain who engaged with crowd well and held our attention. The main event was great, a fantastic performance both moving and engaging, with the crowd interacting and singing along. Seeing a professional musician who is so intertwined with the subjects and themes of his songs was a pleasure.

This is the 11th time we have seen Seth with various different lineups and solo and I seriously think his music just gets better and better. St. George’s Church is a lovely venue and has great acoustics.
