INHEAVEN

South London band INHEAVEN have certainly created a stir since signing to Strokes singer Julian Casablancas’ label Cult Records. The quartet released the single Regeneration and instantly had their name spread all across the world.

All those bands you grew up loving, the bands that changed your life - owning that t-shirt and buying that record, looking at fanzines - you kind of owe it to them to carry it on. You want to do what all your favourite icons did.” - James Taylor

See them play at Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms In January and then The Boileroom at Guildford, Mining Institute at Newcastle and Newhampton Arts Centre at Wolverhampton in February 2018.

Their debut was quickly followed by a second single entitled Bitter Town and released through Hometown Records.

The band is led by guitarist James Taylor and Chloe Little who plays bass and together with Jake and Joe they draws on eighties shoegaze and nineties grunge influences to produce a truly loud guitar sound with a timeless quality and yet with immediate appeal.

The band have just released the new apocalyptic influenced single Baby’s Alright. Both catchy with an undertone of nihilism, the song sets the band in good stead for a fantastic year.

What impressed me most about INHEAVEN was the vocal interplay between Taylor and bassist Chloe Little. Reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine or The History of Apple Pie this was an example of a true shoegaze trope utilised to perfection, and coming across much more clearly than on record. Of all the bands, the industrial setting seemed to suit these guys the most.” - itsallindie.com
