I'd been waiting a few years for the Haggis to return to Hoodtown and they were sure worth the wait! They mixed up older material such as the title track of their Hot Damn debut LP with a platter of new jams from their sneak preview latest album as well as a stone cold stonking Charles Wright cover. The soulful singer frankly sang and ad-libbed his cajoules off and the versatility and enjoyment of all the Horns musical muscle is plain to see. Some Scottish humour peppered on top and I can only hope they come back sooner next time around. Honestly as good as their records are they cannot do them justice compared with the full live experience. Catch these guys at a sweaty dance club near you now!
