I really enjoyed this expedition down into the Peel St caves. Guide Scott Lomax was incredibly knowledgeable, and I felt the time spent in the cave (approximately 1 hour) was a decent duration. The volunteers left a little to be desired in my opinion, but not enough to take the shine off a great tour.

It was a great opportunity to see inside the caves that haven't been opened to the public in a long time. Scott (the guide) was very knowledgeable and provided plenty of information about each part of the cave system. The supplied torches were a bit underpowered and occasionally the group was little too large to all be able to hear what Scott was saying in the tighter sections of the caves. In all it was a very worthwhile and enjoyable experience. It would be great if these caves were opened up on a more regular basis to the public.

Tony gave a superb account of the subject. A fascinating talk and a 'must attend' event for anybody with an interest in this amazing and under-appreciated aspect of Nottingham's cultural heritage.

The Sandstone Caves of Nottingham - a lecture by Tony Waltham, Cosmic Ray Cave at Brewhouse Yard, Nottingham - 12th May 2018
Although I'd known about these caves for a long time, actually seeing them was amazing. Much larger than I expected and with a really varied history. Tour guide was informative and knowledgeable. Hopefully the council will open up some other hidden places in the future and have this as a regular visitor attraction.

Nice to see this back and open to the public to add to the other cave tours. An interesting tour with a pleasent amount of freedom to wander around down there. It'd be great to see joint tickets available with other cave tours.
