Blackberry Smoke

You can’t get much more of an authentic Honky-tonk/Bluegrass/Southern rock sound than Blackberry Smoke. Think Lynyard Skynyard and you’re on the right track; this is good old outlaw rock at its very best. Blackberry Smoke have carved out a name for themselves over the past few years, appearing alongside such American rock luminaries as Lynyard Skynyard themselves, ZZ Top George Jones, and the Zac Brown Band. Now they’re heading across the ‘Pond’ to play a handful of Blackberry Smoke tour dates in the UK, and fortunately for fans at Gigantic we have some Blackberry Smoke concert tickets available right here.

This year sees the release of their latest album Find A Light which they promote with headline shows at Cardiff’s Tramshed plus O2 Academy Bristol during November 2018.

Blackberry Smoke concert tickets are on sale right now so book before they are gone. Always make Gigantic your first stop for your gig tickets.

Formed in Atlanta in 2000, they quickly built up a loyal following on the Southern rock circuit. To date they’ve released four long-play releases. Their 2004 debut album ‘Bad Luck Ain’t No Crime’ faired well, while the acclaimed ‘Little Piece of Dixie’ in 2009 showed how quickly the band had mastered their sound. The latest release, 2015’s ‘Holding All The Roses’ demonstrates just how tight a sound they’ve managed to develop, and how adept they are at creating a foot-stomping studio sound.

The band has recently signed with Rounder Records, and the higher production values of the latest album indicate that they appear to be very happy in this particular musical stable. With tracks such as ‘Fire in the Hole’ working just as well on vinyl as live, this could be the band’s big breakout year in the UK.

And it’s live where this band really has its best presence, and after opening for some top drawer headliners, the Blackberries have managed to build up a strong and very loyal following. Perhaps not as well known over in the UK as they are in the States, they nevertheless attract a big crowd when they do play over here. At Gigantic we love their full-bodied and unashamedly ‘Southern’ sound, and anticipate that Blackberry Smoke tickets for the few gigs they are playing this year will sell out quickly, so grab yours while you can.

Blackberry Smoke, O2 Academy Birmingham, Birmingham - 10th November 2018

Too much rock and roll, country and blues!

Thank you BlackBerry Smoke for crossing the pond to bring us such a large slice of Dixiel on such a balmy spring evening. A fantastic wide-ranging set that could of gone on and on. Brilliant. Come again soon.

Blackberry Smoke, O2 Academy Birmingham, Birmingham - 7th April 2017

Great performance with both new tracks and old favourites.

All good. PA might have been a bit tired/not quite up to the venue as overly distorted on some louder tracks.

Fantastic gig

blackberry smoke as awesome as always, venue was full and security although present were not in your face.this is a venue I have used on numerous occasions without incident Alcohol is overpriced so if you want a few best get them in over the road before hand ,if your a bit strapped for cash. Once upon a time you could nip over to the pub and get back in,though this is not the case nowadays in my experience of late. One area to address would be the stair areas from top bar to main stage floor ,these are always full as they are a good view point, though it restricts access making it a tripping hazard going up and down Nearly reverted to festival tricks of using my empty tumbler for having a waz to save the chew of the stairs. Overall it was a great night.
